If you really think that Fred Marrich discounts horns at TMEA or any other convention, you've been smoking some of that funny weed! Most stores give the same discount at conventions that they'll give when at home. The best discount you get is to not have to pay shipping.

One bit of advice, however. If you are serious about getting a particular horn, get it on approval (usually requires a credit card), take it home, try it out in the surroundings of your choice, and make an informed decision. Don't think a convention floor is a good place to play a horn and know what it really sounds like. It just won't happen.

Since you'll be at TMEA, stop by the Houston Band booth and say hello. I'll be there the entire time selling stuff and ready to talk TUBA with anyone able and willing to do so.
