I am the proud new owner of a 1921 satin silver large BBb Holton helicon. 22" bell, typical large Holton throat, in amazing condition. Perfect for the large ragtime ensemble I bought it for. The problem is this, the neck was replaced at some point (I believe by Allied) with a crazy winding design that has the horn play sideways, not forward facing. The receiver for this neck also has been reduced down in bore size to accomodate this hideous invention (at least it does now play A440). I have a very talented instrument repair person that is willing to rebuild the neck and return it to original bore size, but before he gets started he would love to see a picture of original design. Holton was able to give me manufacturing date of 5/31/21, but doesn't have a catalogue or pics available. Anyone out their that can help with a picture?
