The special edition is laden w/ jabba's theme. When Chewbacca is first introduced it is played by both tuba and bassooon.
Then when jabba shows up and ruins the moment after han gets freed turn up the volume and its playing.
during the fight over the sarlacc the theme gets brought in for about 10 seconds.
Also in episode 4 in the added scene between han and jabba.
