I found a King H. W. White Co. sousaphone at an estate sale this weekend. It is silver on the outside and is brass inside the bell. The bell is decorated on the outside with the King H.W. White Clevland Ohio sheild and artistic engraving. There aren't any major dents in it and is in pretty good shape. The valves all work, all the tuning slides come out very well and the water key and screws work well and are in place. The neck with attachments and 25 H.W.White mouthpiece are all there too. It would play perfectly I believe if all the air leaks were patched up(because of "Y" joints between the jointing tubes) and years of dust were washed off. I believe it is an Eb. Can anyone tell me more about this sousaphone? Did I find a diamond in the rough? Thanks a bunch! Pics can be sent by e-mail.
