I have one (my 1st Tuba from grade school, btw) currently in the shop (along with an old Holton monster EEb) that I'm having large bore valve sections grafted into. Hopefully this project will yeild a couple of good symphonic size EEb tubas. I'll keep you posted on the project's progress.
The Conn, even as a 3-valver, had a decent low register and good intonation, hence my taking the plunge with this project.
