I bought a new horn last year after playing on a Sterling custom model for 3 years. I think the Willsons, especially the European shank, gives the truest euphonium sound, as far as American euphonium playing goes. Willsons are also very consistent. I played 3 that were made together before I chose mine and they were all very close and very good. A friend of mine bought one of the other two. It all depends on what kind of sound you want, in my opinion. dax
