Using Denis Wick pieces for my Boosey & Hawkes. a number 2 mostly but occassionally I use a 4 which is pretty small. good for when I play the high tuba part in Tuba/Euph quartet stuff. My Boosey has a smaller receiver so I use the appropriate mouthpieces. I also have a Wick 2L with the standard size shank for when I play sousas or my King BBb tuba. The 2 is sort of like a cross between a Helleberg and a Bach 18. The rim is not as sharp as the helleberg, nor is the cup quite as deep. Wicks were pretty much designed for use in the Boosy & Hawkes/Besson horns and they work very well. I also like them because they are a bit heavier than most mouthpieces without going to the extreme mas of a megatone style piece.
