I have a Boosey Solbron EEb, 4-valve tuba from 1903-4. Does anyone have information on the tuba? Did it come with 2 tuning slides? If only one, did it come with a short one? Has anyone changed the entire valve blocks on theirs? Has anyone changed it to modern pitch? Will a tuning slide from a B & H Imperial fit it?
Mine plays a half tone flat. One shop said it leaks all around the valve casing. I thought of putting a short tuning slide on it.
Does anyone have one that plays in pitch?
