I started with a straight and pitch-filled leadpipe from Allied Supply. I cut a 2x8 to use a bending jig to form the mouthpipe to. Measurements were to taken with digital calipers to make sure that the taper was accurate and that it fit accurately in the tuning slide ferrule and mouthpiece receiver areas. Bend, cut, drain pitch, anneal, clean, fit with electrical tape, play test. Modify if necessary. Solder in place. Polish. There you have it. Sometimes it takes more than one attempt, this time I was fortunate. I probably missed something in there, but that is the basics. Daryl
