when you play, do you just push down buttons, blow through your instrument, and hope the right pitches come out? i surely hope not. you should always be thinking of the music you are trying to produce. don't get so caught up in the physical and technical part of tuba playing that you forget the actual music. singing allows you to develop a sense of directly producing the music you hear in your head without the safety of "button pushing". if you can sing the pitches, then you can buzz them. do yourself a huge favor and join your school chorus or glee club.
