Ya know, ITEC is just after tax time, and one plane fare is a lot cheaper than a half dozen. I know that the exhibit hall isn't the most ideal shopping environment, but you'll get to try just about everything that's available and maybe narrow your search. Who knows? Maybe you'll get lucky. It beats paying half again as much for the same horn from someone who doesn't do the volume of tuba business. And it's WAAAYYYYY better than going pot-luck online (that's a big non-starter).
