Don't forget that all the old B&H tubas were designed for very small mouthpieces. Thus when played with a modern mouthpiece are often flat. It wasn't until they brought out the Sovereign range in about 1982 that they changed this. EEb tubas pre 82 (Imperial or Besson New Standard) were supplied with a "Kosi cup" 1 1/2. About the same size as a Bach 1 1/4G bass trombone mouthpiece!!!!!
