I played on a Doug Elliot for a few years and then got a new horn and had awful trouble for a quite awhile. It finally hit me to try a different shank and it really does make a world of difference, the T5E is probably about right for your Kalison. I might at least try it before you blow a $100 bucks on a PT 88 or anything else.
