I have a 45slp. In my opinion, it has "the" sound that I was looking for in an f tuba. I've used it in concert band and smaller orchestral settings as well as quintets. I like it a lot. However, get ready, it is a HUGE f tuba.

I also play a Besson 983 Eb in brass band. I like this instrument a lot! It seems really easy to play. However, when going to play smaller ensemble gigs, I always take the MW. It seems to have more projection when needed. But, I have been playing Eb tubas for less than a year now. It could be that I'm just not used to the instruments.

Hope this helps
