30W or 50W oils? What on earth are you trying to lubricate? This is Tubenet, not Tractornet. Piston valves that are in reasonably good repair in any brass instrument should work great with Hetman Synthetic Oil, either #1 (Light), #2 (Medium), or #3 (Really need a valve job, but I want to play it as-is). For rotor instruments, the #12 rotor and #14 bearing oils will work well on most instruments, and #11 light rotor and #13 light bearing will be best for those with really tight tolerances. The Hetman #14 through #16 will properly lubricate any sort of ball-and-socket arrangement.
The Hetman products are all non-toxic synthetics, so I'd highly recommend them over carcinogenic oils. Feel free to e-mail me if you need more info on lubricating your instrument.
