Hi Rick,

My philosophy? Hmm. Do I have one?

If you cant play it polish it?

What you got was an econo overhaul, I am glad that worked out to your satisfaction.

These instruments were on their way to Boot Hill. The owners wanted me to do my annual Messiah routine. Some times my walking on water act is a little rusty and I find replacing these parts aids in moving things along while delivering a high quality end product that does not have a negative impact on the playing character of the horn.

Each instrument has to be approached individually and of course there are the economics of being a craftsman. I do this for a living and would rather make the money myself than pay the factory. Its about the balance between doing good work, maintaining the integrity of the instrument and its design and making a income.
