Willson pricing

I haven't seen it discussed here, but there are substantiated rumors that Willson tuba pricing may take a significant jump in about a month. Indeed, a couple of people have called me to arrange acquiring their new instruments "under the wire". I have no idea if the U.S. importer will accept any more orders at the "old" pricing (still in effect) but I imagine that they might.

Last year, there was a significant U.S. price reduction in Willson tubas, and during the year the cost the importers are paying from the manufacturers (Kurath) has apparently gone up twice, so I would imagine the U.S. prices will jump signicantly. HOWEVER, I can say with confidence that a new Willson 3050S will still be very significantly lower-cost (and a better instrument, as always) than a HB-21 here in the U.S.
