A lot of the Boosey & Hawkes euphs are very sharp on the Eb. E, F and sometimes F# above middle C on the piano keyboard. The use of the F side of the compensating euph cures the problem. However, in many cases where euphs really play those notes in tune the conductor complains because they are flat compared to the trumpets playing sharp one octave higher.
