just received the DVD and book, I would say that both would be the most helpful. The DVD is invaluable for seeing exactly how to do the exercises, but the book is much better at explaining how to combine them into a real routine. As stated below, I wish that the DVD contained a sample routine along with the individual explanations of the exercises.
