I agree with the suggestion to add Gene Pokorny's Orchestral Exerpts CD to your collection if you don't already have it.
I would also recomend that you add Jim Self's newest recording, MY AMERICA, to your list of must own discs. On this disk, you'll get a number of different looks at his concept of tone, dynamics, phrasing, etc, as it applies to diffent musical styles and ensemble settings. Outstanding performances on both bass and contra bass...and FLUBA, of course.
