Howard Johnson's gig. How many tubists have the opportunity to MAKE real music with real musicians who also MAKE real music(as opposed to playing music that someone else made years, decades, centuries ago)? This is the genre where your playing is sure to never become "just a job".
It's a wide open field ready for pioneering. Seriously, how many times have you heard the tuba in jazz as anything more than a novelty act?
