Looking back at the truly cream of the crop gigs that I have had or held over my career, I'd have to put being a principal tuba in any Dixieland ensemble at any central Florida theme park. At the house of the mouse we used to have to perform 10-15 minutes every hour during an 8 hour shift. If it rained, you didn't have to perform. More times than not you would pick up casuals a few times a week which would double your weekly salary. The hardest part of these type gigs was to find something to do with all of the dead time.
