I am sure that this particular instrument is in F. A regular euphonium mouth piece fits or a bassbone mp with a small shank. The only way to get it to play G is by using the valves. A friend of mine who has since passed away played it a couple of times in different groups. He loved it and sounded great on it. He also confirmed that it was in F.
