I am not the biggest Holsinger fan (probably because I have to see him every day) BUT I will have to say that his recent Cityscape composition has to be arguably the best contemporary piece of wind ensemble lit out there. A fantastic tone poem (1st in a series of 3) that captures the energy of NYC written pre 9/11 but premired after and still fits just as perfectly.
