First, I would ignore the negative comment already posted. It is only natural for one to be nervous. The only way you wouldn't be at all nervous is if you didn't care. Thankfully, you do care.

The best thing to remember is that you have learned a great deal already, yourself. Chances are that someone else thinks you know something or you wouldn't be about to teach that lesson. Don't expect to be as good at this as the best teachers are, yet. They have more experience and have had time to hone their craft. Just take what knowledge and experience you have and go for it. Be sure to listen carefully to your student. He/she needs to be heard both playing and discussing things so that you will know what he/she sounds like and what knowledge there is. Take it from there.

Another thing--keep playing your instrument. Don't let a hectic adult life schedule keep you from it. You owe it to yourself and your students.
