About two weeks ao I received a Gronitz into my shop for the first time. I knew that they have been made in Hamburg for many years, but had just never seen one. In fact, I had to contact Tony Clements in CA to figure out exactly what it was.
This silver-plated Gronitz PCM CC looks a lot like an HB-2, but has intonation, response and timbre that I prefer over the HB. I wish I had personally owned one of these YEARS ago! It is a largish 4/4 CC that is suitable for a very wide variety of playing situations. I don't mean to gush, but this horn really impresses me. Oh, for mouthpiece suggestions - they are great instruments, but a mouthpiece is a must ;^)
