Go with any lightweight plastic/flexible mixing bowl that is the desired 'fit' for your horn. You could use a round, flat 'cake pan' sytle of bowl. It would give your mute some depth without being tall and bulky like a hemisphere as wide as your bell. You could mount the cabinet handle (thread spool, misc piece of kitchen hardware, whatever works for you) close to the rim of the bowl for easy reach over the Euph bell. Also, a soft/flexible bowl probably won't scratch your horn.

I first witnessed the 'Tupper-mute' in Chicago back in the mid '80s. This trombone player got a great variety of sounds out of it by changing the shape while it was in motion and different amounts of overlap on the bell's rim.
