Yes, when he performed the Broughton at the Army Conference, he had what I've identified in my head as that classic F tuba sound. It was a great performance, and utterly different in sound concept from the equally immpressive playing of Velvet Brown, who had played a bit earlier in the program. Velvet has a sound that matches her name, which is kind of in the other direction from what I'm thinking.
