I played and own a kellyberg. It seems to play ok I notice it has a "plastic sound" to it.
I have also played another plastic mouthpiece at the NAMM show. it was available in 2 diffrent plastics One was ABS the other was a polypropalene. The pp mouthpiece was the best feeling most comfortable mouthpiece I ever played It felt smooth and wet and chaped lips felt soothed I didnt notice the plastic sound out of either one.The mouthpiece had a fantastic bottom.I could really punch the low notes. The guy showing them said that he has been working on the plastic compound for 6 years. The ABS mouthpiece also played great but didnt have the same wet feel. I didn't catch his name and I lost his E mail so I don't know how to get in touch with him. I seem to remember he said he used to be a repairman in NY. He did say they would be available soon from one of the big manufactures.I would be intrested if anyone else has run into this guy Maybe some one from NY.
