Yeah, I dance all the time when I'm working on hard rhythmic stuff. I was having a lot of trouble with the Casterede piece for Falcone - that second page, man, it's nuts. What I've been doing is listening to the Mead recording every morning while I'm in the shower. When in gets to the 8/8 part with the accelerando, I do this cool dance I invented. I thrust my hips forward and backward to the constant eighth note, and on the accented beats, I slap my bottom with my washcloth. Also, I sing the accompaniment at the top of my lungs. This has really helped in the practice room, and it's great aerobic exercise!

My dance for the Bellson etudes is a whole different story - for that, I need a conducting baton, a horseshoe, and at least two gerbils.
