I concur that this was an exceptional performance. His sound on both pieces was georgeous, amd I thought that the performance situation was rather difficult as the concert was attended by a great deal of very young children (totally appropriate for a children's concert!) One young fan behind me told his father that the tuba was really cool, while another afficianado was apparently moved to tears during the second movement of the Vaughn Williams and had to be rapidly and loudly be removed from the church.

I was very inspired by Mr. Hall's performance; as a bass trombonist, I was trying to figure out if I should run home to practice, or if I should buy a tuba!

I must also give proper respect to the orchestra; having played in a great number of community orchestras in NYC, The Broadway Bach Orchestra sounded better than many that i have played in.
