About the Echelon Brass Quintet…
The E.B.Q. was formed in 2001 at the Manhattan School of Music. Since it’s inception the group has always sought to maintain the highest performance standards. They were selected as finalists of the 57th Annual Coleman Association Chamber Music Competition in Pasadena, CA. Performing throughout the greater New York area they have maintained an active schedule. Performances include multiple appearances on The NoonDay Concert Series of the Trinity Church. They have also appeared on the Cathedral Arts series at St. John of the Divine. A collaboration on the work Morning Music with the Susan Dodge Dance Company brought favorable reviews from composer David Sampson and The New York Times. The Echelon Brass Quintet has performed in NY, NJ, CT and Long Island. In 2002 they were participants in the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival in Norfolk, CT. Education has always been important to the quintet. They have given master classes, educational presentations and concerts for young people in NY public and private schools.
