Ken, it would take me about two hours to do an instrument from scratch. A lot of time for hobbyists is figuring out the technique as you go, and if you don't want your repair tech to charge you for training time, then you shouldn't charge yourself for it unless it is keeping you from making money at some other task.
I suspect the Miraphone parts, thought they look very nice, would require more work to install, and for what the parts cost I can pay myself for those two hours pretty handsomely. For an instrument that no longer has a bolt-on replacement, the Dubro linkages are as easy to install as any, and easier than most.
