Meinl Weston is not the same as Rudy Meinl or Jim Bob Meinl or Meinl Monkey. Their are sever German companies with Meinle in their name. For the most part they are all unrelated.
F tubas of that vintage tend to have a really nice, sweet sound but have weak low registers. Especially around C, B, Bb just below the staff. The newer vintage Meinl Westons seem to have better low registers.
