Congrats Mary Ann! This is exactly what I teach my students about embouchure (I do it differently, however) and what I've advocated since day one with my posts on this BBS. I'm very glad for you that you finally found a teacher that could convey the concept to you so well. It is an issue I run into all the time with my students. Some just can't accept that keeping one embouchure for all playing is even possible. The approach your teacher took leaves no room for doubt. A wonderful approach!
