If YOU own the horn, I feel that it should be put in it's case, without fail. There is absolutely no excuse for it not being done. you must have an awfully small bandroom, to have no are for horns in their cases. That being said; talk to the band director and try to work it out with him (her). Again, if the horn is yours, try to get insurance on it to protect it against wandering trombones and nasty flute players and the like. I amn sorry that I can't recommend a repair facility, because I don't know where you live.
I'll say a prayer for you and your horn.
