I am an 11th grader in ohio, and I like to consider myself pretty good at the tuba. The marine band has always been my dream ever since I saw them way back in '00. I was thinking about going and trying out for the band, as I can play all the excerpts they sent me and have worked up air and bouree this year for solo and ensemble. I still play a Bb but it is mine, and I know it pretty well. What kind of competition should I expect for this audition and would it be worth my parent's time and money to go to DC?
