As far as I know, everyone who is in the tuba business, and who frequents this site, qualifies as a smart operator, because they all "get it". They all reply to emails in a timely fashion. The question is not whether they need to make changes -- they already have -- but whether those changes are necessary to do business today. Heck, if anything, ATD and I are congratulating them on having the right practices!

And I guarantee you, every cotton-pickin' one of those guys wants to turn a profit. I doubt they would deny it. Who doesn't? All of us want to have a home, car, clothes, food -- that takes money, AKA profit. It strikes me that YOU are the arrogant one who assumes that there is something sinister about being in business to make a profit.
