Even though the 45slp's a good horn and great for quintet, the Yamaha's easier in the lower register for some of the lower playing you would do in quintet. I would say the 45slp's upper register rings brighter than the Yamaha as far as I remember. It also has a more German sound if you're into that as well. But I would recommend the Yamaha if you're not too concerned about German sounding, color, or whatever.
