The 88 is a german style cup, with a pretty big rim. The 88+ is the same, with a bigger backbore and a slightly different cup shape. The pt-50 and 50+ are helleberg style, but huge. I find that for a free blowing horn you want a 88. For a horn with more resistance, the 50 will give you a good ride.
