That's completely anyone's personal choice, but its almost like saying (with well over 20 million subscribers), "That's why I would NEVER BUY FROM ANYONE IN THE WORLD!".
"Ebay" is simply too big and too diverse to be viewed as an "entity". It more resembles something like the shopping district of the world's largest city, with a Walmart, flea markets, yard sales, used car lots, smut dealers, restaurant supply, bedding, furniture, (endless). It is YOUR choice where on that endless street to stop and shop, whether to lay down your money, and what type of guarantees you care to purchase from online services.
It's that simple and that complex.
