Re: the Kalison 2000. Several years ago I spent several hours with both the DS and the 2000 in one of Vince S's practise rooms. The DS was a fine horn but I realized that the 2000 had the darkness I desired for orchestra. I have no trouble being heard in a full size orchestra, and the trombones love the sound from the 2000. The 2000 has the sound of the 6/4 without the extra size and weight. It is no solo horn and couldn't be considered for quintet, but it is at home in a large orch. Harry Critchley
