This is some good news to hear, Joe. I've been doing these touring shows in Nashville on st. bass and tuba the last 2-3 years, and at least half of the time the conductors have been a little too "in your face" kind of guys. I heard from the last cond. that the regular person conducting "Ragtime" is on a hiatus and this guy is much nicer than her. Not being sexist here, just repeating what I hear. Funny though, this last guy was one of those pickier conductors, also. An compulsive "fixer".
