If you own the generic wood U.S.-made case, heavy duty ready-to-install wheels are available for sale. Although the price for a "pre-fab" pair might seem a bit high, I HAVE personally adapted "from scratch" a pair of heavy-duty casters for tuba case use. Even though I could do a second set a lot faster than the first set that I made, I would choose to opt for purchasing the pre-fabs. It saves on running around town, measuring, brazing/welding...you know..."JUNK".
Why work hard fabricating something when we could be vegging out in front of the computer, right? ;^)
OH! You WILL still need to use a drill and a wrench, so you can still feel like a "manly-man", even with the "pre-fab" set. (ala: "Tool-Time")
