I have oft bent the finger spatulas on rotary linkages to accomodate hands. (I hope that I am not misunderstanding your post.) Just support the spots where the fingerkeys are silver-soldered to the hollow hinge rods (using smooth-jawed pliers), so that you don't break them when you bend them to where you want them.
If this is what needs to be done, you shouldn't have very much trouble. Nickel-silver is not very difficult to bend.
