The Arban's book is a great way to go. Getting the original trumpet version and
learning to read treble clef would be best if you play CC tuba. This way, all the
studies are centered around your horn's primary tonalities. Multiple articulation was
a major pain for me, too. I just lived with these sections of the book for a month
and it worked out fine.
