So, here's another one...

Hi Folks -

Unless you live under a rock, or haven't read any of the stuff posted
here about the upcoming show, you know that next week is the one and
only U.S. Army Band Tuba-Euphonium Conference at Ft. Myer, VA, right
outside (literally across the river) of Washington, D.C.

I wanted to take a minute to invite you to the Thursday night (27 JAN)
recital that begins at 7:30 p.m.

Dennis AsKew and I will be performing "Duh Suite", a six movement
work for two tubas and drum set, written by phenomenal tubist and
composer Jim Self.

Jim wrote "Duh Suite" especially for "Carolina Morning", the
joint CD Dennis and I did last year (see my web site for details,
blah blah blah...).

It will be the first time we have performed it live since we gave
the world premier of it back in October of 1998. And we will be
helped out by Joe McCarthy on drum set, who is one of the best
drummers on the East Coast. It should be a lot of fun.

Any way, I just wanted to put out an invite to everyone to attend.

And if you come, please introduce yourself. It's always nice to put
faces with names from "tuba cyberspace"!

Take care -

Kelly O.
