They are BOTH top-of-the-line instruments. Both the Nirschl's that I played were superior instruments. I prefer the Hirsbrunner, if nothing else, for the longevity of the company. As for resale, the Hirsbrunners APPRECIATE in value as the cost for new ones goes up. Nirschl hasn't been around long enough to plot a trend in resale values.
