So, since I'm comfortable with and know the BBb fingering, I suspect it would make sense, and would be easier starting back, to stick with a BBb!!? I remember playing a heavy Conn tuba while in school....
It would also seem logical that one can always later study the C fingering and make that conversion, depending upon what type of music is being played!
