I also use a DEG stand but as long as you're asking, there is also something called the "Dan Stand". At least that's what Dan Anderson calls his version of it. Both he and my current teacher use them and all they consist of is a mono-pod camera stand with an adapter soldered onto the bottom of the tuba. This is really only used to play standing in a recital or similar gig so doesn't help much in your situation.
